Thats so Barbarian.

McDonalds: probably the happiest place on earth (no, not disneyland)
Every young child gravitates torward McDonalds, adults and teens that are camped for time flock to mcdonalds for a quick meal. People love it, people hate it.... but have you ever thought of the people that WORK there?
My best friend, Stefanie, and I do. WE worked there for almost 2 years!!!
Working the closing shift on long summer nights, exchanging already opened slobbered on toys for "the pretty one", yelling at the guys in grill for taking way too long to make a Big Mac and the many inside jokes that came from that place are priceless.
Of all of the great and horrible memories from this job there is one that will always stand out: the road trip we took to get AWAY from that job.
We took our goofy hats and glasses we got from our breaktime happymeals, packed up Stefanies moms car, and headed to Phoenix for a concert. Our favorite band, Hellogoodbye, was playing with Boys Like Girls, The rocket Summer, and some other crappy/awesome emopop band for FIFTEEN BUCKS! Ahhh the freedom of summer and having the money to go on an excusion like this was thrilling. it was the summer after our senior year in high school and we were ready. This was a first for both of us, setting out on the open road where a lifetime of memories and many misadventures would follow. We have been hooked on road tripping every since, Stefanie and I are true road sisters.

Great story - I love roadtrips! I like how you tie the story of this particular photo to the larger story of your friendship and an early work experience - all important rites of passage in everyone's lives.
Thanks for sharing in class-
