I think that this ad works because it uses humor and a common american saying associated with it (men are pigs). It is set in a familiar place for young adults (a bar) and most young people that date can understand the ad. I guess that this ad is more geared torward women, because we understand how true the "men are pigs" phrase is. It can also be affective for men because it shows them how we think and how to get through to us effectively.
